20- year vow renewal!

Michael and I got married at 7:00 pm on Saturday, December 29, 2001.  We made the reservation to renew our vows at the Graceland Chapel for 7:00 pm on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. We got limo service with our reservation, so we went down to the lobby of the Luxor around 6:10 to take pictures before the limo picked us up.

In the limo

There were absolutely no pictures allowed once we got in the chapel, so I took some stuff from their website.

There was a photographer during the ceremony, as well as after the ceremony.  We can order pictures up to December 2022, but this is what has stopped us thus far.  OMG!  The prices.  This is more than we paid for the photographer at our actual wedding.

I took a few screenshots so you can some of the options.  Our plan is to order 5 of them.

Michael got choked up during the ceremony, particularly during the "in sickness and in health" part (thanks a lot, cancer), and the photographer captured it!  I'm hard-pressed to pay $20 for this shot, but, even the screenshot is cute!

That's my friend Sarah behind Elliott.  She lives in Vegas and we invited her to join us.

I love this one!

We definitely have to order the Elvis ones!

After the ceremony, we got limo service to the Paris Hotel.  Except my mom went with Sarah and my dad sat in the front with the driver.

We went to the Eiffel Tower restaurant for dinner, but first I made Sarah take a million photos.

These were taken outside of the wedding chapel in the Paris hotel.

And these were taken out in the hotel close to the entrance to the restaurant.

The hostess stand for the restaurant is downstairs, and then you take an elevator to get up there.

The kids were delighted with their mocktails.

And we were delighted with the champagne.

I didn't take any pictures of the dinner, but everything was delicious and elegant and perfect.

We got a mini free dessert.

And ordered one of each kind of souffle.

The kids got ice cream sundaes.

A lovely view from the dining room.

We kept the champagne and wine corks.

After dinner and dessert, Sarah drove everyone else back to the hotel.  Michael and I went to the Bellagio to have a nightcap and listen to the pianist in the piano bar.

The whole night people kept telling us "congratulations", assuming we had just gotten married.  We just let them believe that and didn't explain.  When we were walking into the piano bar the pianist played "here comes the bride" and it was hilarious!

And that is that.  We ate breakfast at the Luxor the next day and then got the hell out of town before all the New Year revelers started pouring in.  Once we order the pictures from the chapel I will post them.  But don't hold your breath. It might take all year.
