A few slow days before a lot of activity

There are just a few more pictures from Father's Day Sunday.

Kevin napping after the festivities of the day .

His favorite spot.

The guest room at the end of Michael's work from home year (plus). He went back to the office the next day and we moved the desk out of there.

I jammed my toe fairly badly that day and this is what the bruising looked like on Sunday night.  I put stickers on my toenails, because they are NOT close-up photo ready.

The bruising was more widespread and also darker on Monday morning. This was just last Monday, the 21st.  Look at me, still being timely with the blogging.

Kevin was happy to snuggle in bed and give me comfort.

Michelle and I went to lunch on Tuesday the 22nd and then she came over after we ate.  We took a selfie to send to Ellen.

We wanted Kevin in it.
The 22nd was my brother Nick's 40th birthday so I took a bunch of pictures of old pictures to make a Facebook post.

Apparently there's not a single picture from Wednesday the 23rd.

Kevin on Thursday morning the 24th, during my last day of work.

We drove to Tucson that evening for a three day weekend, so that fun post will be next.

Father's Day 2021

Michael's birthday is always about three weeks before Father's Day, so when it is Father's Day he's already run out of ideas for what he would like to do to celebrate.

He asked for pastries for breakfast again.  Done.

Kevin was less than amused that I didn't get him one.

After breakfast, which was really brunch, he opened his presents.

Kevin wanted to "help",

But was happy to go sit with his brothers instead.

The yearly prints for Michael's frame at work.

The best card ever.

Snacks for being at work in the office full time.
Man soap.
We all like the song "Daddy Cool" by Boney M., and the top soap is the scent Daddy Cool.  That's the whole reason I bought it.  Michael asked, "did you buy this because of the top bar?"  "Damn straight I did", I replied.

Raiders napkins

For the office so he doesn't forget Kevin.

A nail grooming kit for the office.

After presents we took all of the official pictures for 2021.

Michael is so funny.

And, the Father's Day collage.

Michael wanted to chill the entire rest of the day, so he watched parts one and two of the Lord of the Rings trilogy while I sometimes watched and did other stuff around the house.

And that's a wrap on Father's Day. Also, this just happened four days ago so I am a blogger extraordinaire!

Elliott's 9th birthday party

As I said before, we didn't have a party for Elliott when he turned 9 in December, because of COVID.  He's always wanted a pool party, so it was easy to convince him to wait until June to celebrate his half birthday.

The theme was countries/maps/the globe/around the world.

I was pleased with the table!

I ordered a "bon voyage" set of plates/cups/napkins.  I also used a lot of map scrapbook paper- including under the centerpiece.

These are all bouncy balls we already had.

I did actually buy these for the party and they will be used in home decor now.

This wall hanging was from Amazon.  I think it was like $10.  I might take it to work.

I used a cake stencil for the cake, which was really brownies.

The food setting on my phone takes really fun pictures.
I bought a map poster and stuck in on some tv trays for the backdrop for the food.  The beach balls on top were also the party favors.  We already had the glowing globe on the left.

Elliott invited his three best friends.

I didn't crop this so you can see the scrapbook paper I put on the cabinets.  Cheap decorating!

We went in the pool first.

Kevin was nervous about the kids being in the water and he jumped on us immediately.

Luckily Spencer had no interest in being outside, so Kevin went in to watch TV with him.

My brothers, cousins and I used to dive for these poker chips in my grandparent's pool!

Elliott wanted Subway sandwiches, fruit and chips.  DONE!

We bought two foot-long subs, and had leftovers.  Ha!

After they swam and ate, the kids watched Scooby Doo, and then played for a few hours, and then went home and everyone was happy.
