First/Last day of school collages- Elliott

The 2020-2021 will go down in history as a rough one.  The kids started school two weeks late and the first quarter was completely virtual. They went back to in-person after fall break in October.  Then they were virtual again for two weeks in January.  We took first day of school pictures in August (for virtual) and October (for in-person).  Then, we were getting clothes ready the day before the last day of school in May when Elliott casually mentioned that he had given his shirt away about six weeks before.  I had approved it to go into the give-away bin, so it was just devastating all around.  It's the first time ever the last day clothes weren't the same as the first day clothes.  And because it was this school year we're going to just say, "whatever" and move on.

I don't even know why I bother taking Elliott's picture outside.  He seems to think I'm making him look directly at the surface of the sun.

At least the board hides his shirt so you don't know it's different.

Computer for virtual, backpack for in-person.  I actually love that the October pictures have Halloween decor.

I also love all of the different wreaths and door mats.

Here's another fail in a long list of fails.  Parents were never allowed on campus this year, plus the first day in August was at home, so instead of pictures in front of their school rooms we took pictures in front of their bedrooms. But I guess we didn't do it in October.  So, again, whatever.

It took me approximately 97 hours to compile these collages for Elliott, so we'll do Spencer tomorrow.
