Elliott's outer space party

I worked for almost a solid year on convincing Elliott to have a Grinch themed party for his 7th birthday.  So, we had an outer space themed party on Saturday.

The finished cake on Friday night. It was my own original design. Strawberry cake, chocolate frosting, indigo glaze, sugar stars, and plastic planets.  Yum.

I will admit that it was a fun theme to work with. It was very visually appealing.

I used Spencer's telescope and Elliott's favorite space book for the tablescape.

We took the planets from Spencer's ceiling and hung them on the chandelier.  Now they're going into Elliott's room.

Moon in the center of the table.

The birthday parents with their new shirts.

The whole fam.
Elliott requested sandwiches, fruit, and chips.

DONE.

The kids played for an hour, then we ate, then we did presents.

Then the played for another thirty minutes, then we had cake and ice cream.

Things were getting a little rowdy, so I put on a movie for them to watch.  They lasted about ten minutes then it was just chaos until they went home.

Gift bags. They had a pencil, a notepad, and candy in them.
