Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor day weekend up in Pinetop with Laura, Josh, Sara and Samantha.  We actually stayed in their house, and then Chelsea, Mike, Lilly and Zack were staying in another house close by.

Hitting the road on Friday afternoon.
It took us close to four hours to get there because of holiday weekend traffic, so there are no other pictures on Friday.

All three families spent all day together on Saturday. It was a whole day of snacks, drinks, adults laughing and chatting and kids playing outside.  It was perfection.

Here are a million pictures.

In the late afternoon we headed to the house where Chelsea and Mike were staying.  We ate dinner there and opened up the Christmas presents we had purchased for each other for Christmas 2017.  Yep.  Nine months late, we finally had our Christmas party.

We couldn't even remember what kids had bought for what kids.

Then adults did our gifts.  It was supposed to be random, but we had all bought gifts sort of intending them for someone.

Someone has a picture of me, but if I wait for it, this will never get done.  I got the Bob Ross board game and was very happy.

More kids playing outside.

Three pictures in a row, because Michael was running to photo bomb them.

The kids were throwing confetti off of the upstairs loft.

Sunday was a beautiful day.  It rained off and on all day.

Kids were playing outside when it was clear and inside when it was stormy.

We snacked all day too.

S'mores for dessert.

Well, s'mores and wine for some of us.

Elliott going to bed that night.  It was in the 40's outside and the house was chilly.

On Monday morning we all went home.

Well, everyone but Michael and Josh.  They decided to stay one more night for a dad's extravaganza.
The kids and I had to stop in the Salt Canyon for a potty break.  There's a rest area there.  We didn't actually pee in the river.

And then we were home.  And tired.  And grumpy.  But happy that we had a fantastic weekend with friends.
