Well, this will be fast

The first week of May was over in a flash.  Not much happened.

Kevin being very modest on Sunday the 2nd.

'

He likes to sleep half on and half off his bed on our bed.

We took my hair pictures on the 4th.  I'm going to do them for one more month and then quit.  I have voluntarily gotten hair cuts this short before, so I don't need to document the progress any more.  One more month will be two years of growth and that seems sufficient.

May 2020 vs May 2021

Kevin on the 4th

Kevin being a goof on the 5th.

I remembered to take Spencer's monthly picture at about 10 pm on the 6th.  We stood in the front yard.  This is his first monthly picture post-braces.

Official

Michel took the kids to Tucson for the night on Friday the 7th. They are coming back on Saturday evening so the next post will be about Mother's Day.

A murder occurred in our home over night.  A murder most foul.

The prime suspect led me straight to the body and continued his assault.

He has shown little to no remorse.

Guess I'm buying a new pig for myself for Mother's Day.

Kevin's surgery and April ends

Elliott wanted his new cross hung right by his bed.  We did that on Sunday the 25th.

Kevin on Monday the 26th.   The last day before his surgery.

Kevin got neutered on Tuesday the 27th.  He had one descended and one undescended testicle, so he had two incisions and two areas of stitches.  They sent him home in a plastic cone and of course he hated it.  We put on this inflatable donut and he hated it just as much.

He was extra cuddly that evening.

We took Elliott's new telescope outside to see the full moon.  It was awesome, but hard to photograph.
Kevin on Wednesday the 28th.  He was still pretty out of it.  I put his bed on a chair right next to my computer so he could be close while I worked.

We put him in a 12-month onesie to keep him from licking his stitches.

He was much, much better on Thursday the 29th.  I still put him in his clothes to prevent licking.  He was pissed.

He was just so dang cute, looking like a sleeping baby.  I took a million pictures.

I went to work to do an evaluation on Friday the 30th.  Then I got my hair cut and colored.

I felt like it was darker than usual, but a few days later it seems to be lighter, or I'm just used to it.

Kevin on Friday evening, forgetting he had surgery three days before.

And, we're in May!

Stuff, and then Elliott's sacraments

Spencer and I doing a bit of skin care on Sunday, April 18th.

Kevin that day.

I saw this space ship/canoe/bike on my way driving home on Monday the 19th.  It was so weird!

Spencer got his plastic retainers and a haircut on Tuesday the 20th.

Cuddles on Wednesday the 21st.
Michael and I took Kevin for a walk that evening (Wednesday).  Kevin stopped to sniff this tree and FIVE cats hissed at him and then came tumbling out.

I took these pictures on Friday the 23rd.  He was still a little cautious about this devil tree.

Elliott made his first holy communion and was confirmed on Saturday the 24th.  It was our first time going to church in over a year.  All of his classes have been virtual for over a year.

Inside church

My uncle was his sponsor.
We had my mom and dad and uncle over for brunch after mass.

I had saved all of these party decorations from Spencer's party three years ago.

I didn't want to move all of my work stuff off the dining room table, and I was serving from the kitchen table, so I set up extra tables in the living room.

The green glass candle holder was a gift from my sponsor when I did my confirmation.

All the official pictures

Then it was time for presents!

A globe from my parents.  Elliott is recently obsessed with countries and the globe.

An astronaut snowglobe from us.  We also got him the cross tie pin he's wearing in all of these pictures.

A crystal cross from the Czech Republic from us.

A money box from Michael's parents.

A copper and turquoise cross from Jerry and Lois.

Kevin and Spencer were enthralled.

A NASA approved telescope from my uncle.  Anyone want to come over for some star gazing?
That afternoon, after my family left, we met Josh, Laura, Sara and Sam at the hotel/casino in Maricopa.  Laura and I went to the wine bar while everyone else bowled and did the arcade.  Then the dads gambled and the moms took the kids to the pool/hot tub.

And this is all I have to show for it!
