IKEA and Amy's Day

Saturday was a lazy day.  Spencer didn't even get dressed until about 3:30 pm.  We were meeting up with friends at 5:30 for Amy's birthday celebration, but first we stopped at IKEA to look at chairs and buy napkins (strange combo, I know).

We let Spencer burn off a little energy in the play area.

Did I mention August 6th marked 3 years-11 months?  This is the official shot.

On to the birthday celebration.

We met at My Big Fat Greek Restaurant at the Arizona Center.

The birthday girl with her family.
Lauren, Maryellen and John
After we ate we all went outside where the kids played at the splash pad.
I managed to miraculously snap this at the exact moment of Jacob giving Desmond a forceful shove.
Let's go in for a closer look.

Peculiar pair of underwear left on a palm tree.
Lauren pondered what this could mean.
All the ladies.  Our outfits were very coordinated.

Not all the men.  Joseph was chasing Desmond.

Spencer was a bit hesitant at first, but once he got into it, he really got into it.

And of course I didn't have a change of clothes.  In my defense I didn't know there was going to be a splash pad.

So once again Spencer drove home sans clothes.  This time he at least had underwear, and no it was NOT the underwear from the palm tree.  He also had my jewelry that he had been asking to wear all night.

Thanks to every one for a fun night.  Thank you, thank you, thank you to Josh and Amy for treating all of us.  It was, well, a real treat.

The final picture of Spencer totally cracks me up!! I am sure this picture will bring plenty of embarassment to him during his teenage years. Let's just hope that he is still not in "the drive home in your underpants while wearing women's jewelry" phase when he is 16! :)

Glad you guys had a fun night . . . . Greek food sounds really good right now too!
