Poor documentation and a party

You guys......I downloaded all of the photos from my phone! I can blog again.

I took no photos on Sunday, September 13th.   That will be a theme of this whole post.

Elliott and I went somewhere together on Monday the 14th. I can't remember where though.  The mileage in my car hit 190,000 miles on that trip.

Oh, now I remember where we went.  We went to Lakeshore so I could buy a new border for my board.  This was before.

And this is after.
I took no photos on Tuesday the 15th.

We did Elliott's 8 year 9 month photo on Wednesday the 16th.

This was not good.

His eyes are all red because he was just rubbing them, but this will have to do.

I don't know why I took this picture on Thursday the 17th.  New wreath maybe?

I had a zoom happy hour with Ellen and Michelle that afternoon.  I made myself some sangria and put it in my SLP glass since they are work friends.

Ellen was using the social worker glass I gave her for her birthday.
I took no pictures on Friday the 18th.  I think I went to physical therapy that day, but I don't really remember.

I did a three hour continuing education class on Saturday the 19th.  Doing those on zoom is so much better than in person.  I got to chill on the couch with coffee.

That afternoon we let Spencer invite a couple of friends over to celebrate his birthday.  It's such a tricky line to walk during COVID.

He wanted a bunch of junk food.

They spent most of the time in the pool.

Pizza by the pool

Presents

He wanted Crumbl cookies for dessert since we weren't able to get them for his birthday.

It was actually perfect because then he only blew on the candle on his own food, not a whole cake.

And finally, the zoom happy hour we had during the party.  The theme was Nick and Raquel's anniversary even though Nick was still at sea.

School pictures

I have been waaaaaaaaaay too lazy (and busy with work) to upload photos and do an actual blog post, so this post is the easiest thing I could think of to hold you over.

The kids are going to school virtually, so there were no school pictures in August.  That would have really messed up my hallway school picture wall, so about six weeks ago we went to the portrait studio and handled it on our own.

We snuck in one brother photo too.

The official portraits

We thought this would be funny and really representative of 2020.

Business on the top, relaxed on the bottom.

Up next: I don't know because I haven't transferred photos in weeks.

Post-Birthday

I bought this little round riser a few months ago and wasn't ever quite sure what to do with it.  On Monday the 7th Baby Yoda found a home on top of it.

We went to Office Max that day and bought Spencer a new chair.  The sale price was still posted even though the sale was over.  We asked if we could get the sale price.  They said yes AND they took an additional amount of for having the wrong price posted.   One of these days I'll take a picture of him sitting in the chair.

I didn't take a single picture on Tuesday the 8th.

I went to Stein Mart on Wednesday the 9th because it's going out of business (which is terrible!!!!) and I wanted to check the sales.  They have jacked the price up on everything to be able to reduce it, so there are no great prices.  I saw this jewelry though.  It's hideous, but it's the brand "Natasha" which is Russian for Natalie.  And it was right by "Chelsea" jewelry.  I showed the pic to Chelsea.

When I got home I watched the premiere of a new video with one of my surgeons.
I had accidentally stabbed my eyelid with my nail a the previous day so that night I tried to take a picture of the scab.  I couldn't, but I was impressed with the comeback my eyelashes have made.

Right as I finished work for the day on Thursday the 10th the power went out.  This was inconvenient because I had to do a zoom presentation at 6:30 pm.  I started out the meeting on my phone with candlelight.

On Saturday the 11th I actually went to work and evaluated a kid for the first time since March.  They had a plexi-glass divider for me to sit behind.

And I came very prepared with personal protective equipment.

When I left work I went to a Scrubs store and bought scrubs for future evaluations.  I tried them on and might never wear anything else ever again.

The only thing noteworthy for Saturday the 12th was a Patriot Day themed family zoom.  It was very poorly attended.
