I'm in the middle of some major decision making. I get very stressed out about things like this. It's not decisions about healthcare or my 401K or anything. No, it's bigger than that. It's bedding.
Michael and I did not buy each other a Christmas or anniversary gift this year. We decided the gift for both would be a new KING SIZE bed. Along with the new bedding, etc, etc, etc that goes with upgrading a bed.
When I first moved out on my own, when I was 21, I bought this purple flowered comforter. When Michael and I got married it became the bedding for the guest bed. I still love it. (This is our current guest room)
In 2006 Michael and I got this headboard/footboard from Ikea and the bedding from Target. I still love this look.
Here's the plan. Nick is taking the double guest bed until he buys himself a new bed and then he'll give it back at which point we'll have to figure out what to do with it. Our queen bed, with the bedding and the headboard/footboard is moving to the guest room. The new king mattress, which is currently in the hallway, is moving into our room where it will join the twin bed that Spencer still sleeps in in our room (there's your answer, Karen).

Now, the decision that needs to be made is the one regarding our new bedding.
I'm kind-of loving this:
