The kids started their first day of virtual school for the 2020-2021 school year on Wednesday the 5th. It was two weeks later than they usually start school. We have committed to virtual for the whole first quarter. We're waiting to see what happens with COVID in Arizona before deciding on the second quarter. No schools are currently open for in-person learning in the state and my school will be virtual for the whole semester, so it's not looking great right now.
We still took all the typical first day of school pictures. The only differences: they were wearing sandals, which I don't let them wear to "real" school, and we usually take pictures with their new backpacks. We substituted their new laptops. I really think I might take new pictures whenever they do go back for in person.
