Is it Easter time or summer time?

Last Friday Elliott gabbed Spencer's sunglasses as we were leaving for school.  He put them on and wore them the whole way to school (which takes 65 seconds on a bad day).  He had to take them off when Spencer got out of the car because he takes them to school to wear at recess.
It is the first time that Elliott has shown any real interest in wearing sunglasses, despite our encouraging him to wear them since he was 6 months old.

So, later that day we went to Target and bought him his very own pair.  Actually two pairs- one to keep at home and one to keep in the car.
They came in handy that afternoon when we went outside to cool off (it's still APRIL!) by playing in water.

Spencer was in a bit of a funk (I don't even remember why, since he has funks about 64 times a day) and insisted he was not coming out to join us.  Then all of a sudden, there he was.  He did his own sunscreen (spray on) and everything.

Then Spencer had to go to the bathroom, so he took his entire suit off and went in the house.  When he came back out he begged me to let him just play on the top step of the pool.  The top step quickly turned into the whole ledge.

Which turned into jumping off the side of the pool.

Which turned into jumping off the diving board.
It took him about 45 seconds to get his swimming skills from last summer back.
So Spencer has the honor of being the first one in the pool this year.  It was April 11th.  I checked and Michael was the first one in the pool last year.  It was April 13th.  Global warming.....we're two days earlier this year.
On Saturday I took a class about epilepsy at Phoenix Children's Hospital.  It was a great class, but I did not take any pictures for the purpose of blogging (or any other purpose) that day.
On Sunday we decided, quite spur of the moment, that we would go to Walmart to see the Easter Bunny.  We found him in the electronics section.  The backdrop is not so pretty, but he gave the kids a candy (they were happy) and we got a free picture without waiting in any line (I was happy).

The Walmart bunny was so easy that we decided to hop on over to the mall to meet up with his girlfriend, Pawlette.

And now we have set the precedence of seeing two bunnies on the same day, which is not a good thing.
That evening we went to dinner with John and Maryellen, or as Elliott calls them, Johnlemmon.
They ordered cotton candy for dessert and shared with the kids.
It was Elliott's first cotton candy. He was a little hesitant at first but all we had to do was tell him it was candy,
and he dug in.

Such fashionable shades. :)

Also, the Walmart bunny's "waddle" freaks me out. Meh, what do you expect out of a free rabbit, right?
