I am excited to decorate for every holiday. That's just a given. I was especially excited to decorate for this Halloween, though, because it is our first one in this house. We closed on the house and got the keys 2 days after Halloween last year. I can't believe we are coming up on the 1 year Houseiversary!
This is in the front yard.
Next to the front door on the left. The sign hanging from the picket fence says Happy Halloween.
Sitting by the front door on the right.
The entryway table.
Maryellen gave me the pumpkin frame for my 30th birthday. I put a picture of Spencer, age 1, in there that year and have never changed it. I just really like that picture. I bought the spider web frame this year and just barely added the picture of both Spencer and Elliott from Halloween 2012. I'd like to find one more frame so I can add a single picture of Elliott in the same Halloween shirt that Spencer has in the pumpkin frame.
I have always wanted to buy one of these cinnamon scented witch's brooms from Fresh&Easy. This was the year. It makes the whole house smell so spicy and yummy and was well worth $5.
The living room
The inside of the front door.
The mirror by the front door in the entry way.
The coat closet door.
Dining room table
The left dining room server
Dining room hutch
The right dining room server. One of those striped candles fell over last week when Elliott was sleeping, Spencer was at school and Michael was at work. It nearly gave me a heart attack while I crept around trying to locate an intruder.
In the hallway on the way to the kitchen.
Wall outside of the dining room.
The hallway bathroom.
Side note: I finally have my new faucets installed so I can do an entire post about the bathroom now!
Next to the pantry
Entertainment center in family room. The subway art was a free printable. You can find it on my fall/Halloween pinterest board.
And that's it. I am loving having all the orange and red in my house. But honestly I am already feeling the urge to move on to red and green. I'm so excited about Christmas this year....mostly because I don't have to move right before it.
