Swimming and Science

Last Saturday my friend Julie, who I had not seen in TEN YEARS, brought her three kids over to go swimming.  They live in Utah and were in town visiting her parents.  I'm so glad we got a chance to see her and meet her kids.

Spencer is one month older than Griffin (seen here doing a sweet jump off the diving board).

Maggie is five months older than Elliott.

And Nolan (whose back you see here) is four and did not have a same age peer.

After they left we had lunch and then Spencer watched Return of the Jedi for the first time.

He was pretty excited.

This was the weekend of junk food for us so the boys ate Doritos.

That night Ginger rolled in something gross in the backyard, so we gave her a bath.

She was not very happy about it.
I think she was equal parts upset about being in water and that I took away her (in her opinion) glorious stink.

On Sunday we all woke up late and cuddled for a while.
Then we decided, kind of randomly, to go to the Science Center.  I bought a Living Social deal for a membership to the Science Center and we needed to redeem it by the end of the month.
Now that we are members and can go as much as we want, we didn't feel pressure to make it to every part of the museum.  We could just linger at all the places the kids were enjoying.

Elliott was obsessed with this drum that plays your heartbeat.

Elliott had a shoe twin.
Later that evening, after dinner, Michael was spraying the tile on the back porch with the hose.  And then it somehow turned into a water fight.

It was a nice fun weekend.

That does look like a great weekend! Spencer's diving board jumps were awesome! I love that science museum. I need to add that to our list of summer activities to do. I don't know if we will buy a membership but at least one trip is needed! And water fights in the back yard are the best!
