Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes

Our current house is 700 square feet bigger than our previous house. When we moved here last August I was SICK and TIRED of tripping over and kicking all of Spencer's toys. I wanted them out of my main living space. In order to do this we put all of his toys in one of the bedrooms and call it the playroom. The playroom was a good idea in theory, but it's not working out very well. Spencer won't go in there to play on his own and since we have to be with him we can't be doing other stuff (cooking, dishes, etc) while he's playing. It's also not very conducive to a play date. What are we going to do? All go sit on the floor in the playroom?

I got an idea in my head about how we could remedy this problem. And since I'm so very type-A I could barely wait until everyone left on Sunday to start re-arranging.

This is what we did. Now, pay attention because this is going to be complicated. The black bench in the entryway went to the hallway outside of our room. The bar stools in the kitchen went to the garage. The toys in the hallway moved to where the barstools had been. The bookshelves holding books in the hallway moved to a different part of the hallway. The hat rack moved to where the bookshelves had been. The black shelves from the family room moved to the entryway. The entertainment center and book shelf holding toys from the playroom moved to where the black shelves had been. That is all done now.

Direct TV is going to charge us $50 to move the TV from the playroom to the family room. We're holding off on that for now.

After (sorry, no before) And just for all of you curious people.....No, we do not need to empty the play room for a b-a-b-y. Someday, maybe, but that was not the purpose for now. We might move our double bed into there if we can convince Nick to give it back. Seems we need it with the 9 people slumber parties we like to have.

That's impressive. I love the chocolate brown piece with all of the cubby holes.
