Wall Pictures

My parents have an actual basement in their house. This is a rare and wondrous thing to have in Tucson. On the wall of the stairwell they hung 8 x 10 pictures of me and my brothers. Starting at the top left is 6 months and going across (as if you were reading) it continues with 12 months, 18 months, 2 years, 3 years, etc. After kindergarten each picture is each year of our school pictures. I graduated from high school at 17, but my brothers were 18, so I ended up with a blank spot. Shhh- don't tell but I had an extra picture taken in college that my mom stuck there.

Here's the start of our little collection. We're doing 5 x 7 pictures. This is Spencer at 6 months, 12 months, 18 months, and 2 years. The next one we do will be 3 years. We have many more years (and I guess we'll need to have 2 more kids) before we catch up to my parents.
This is last night. It has nothing to do with the post. Just thought Spencer was cute in my sweatshirt.

P.S. I don't even want to talk about how long it took me or how many programs/websites I had to use to do the new header. OK, I'll tell you. It took like 45 minutes and I used Picknik, My Fantasy Maker, The Cutest Blog on the Block and Paint.Net. This is why the human race will soon be extinct. Because people like me spend 45 minutes "decorating" their blog for the holidays instead of trying to reduce carbon emissions.

You may not have reduced carbon emissions but . . . . . your header looks FANTASTIC!!! Good Job Natalie!

OMG that was totally going to be my comment... commenting on how great your blog looks and asking you how you did it! Shoot!
Still... looks great! I 'm not asking for details though... I think I'll stick with my boring old blog for now...

I think that your header was definitely worth the time. It looks awesome! I also love that you're starting the picture tradition with your family. That is looking great too.
